Indlovukazi is Zulu for Queen. The Indlovukazi beaded vest is elegantly draped with stands of glass beads fit for a Queen. This piece is inspired by the South African tradition of beading. The colours in the Indlovukazi piece have been used to give a positive and fun narrative. According to the Zulu beadwork culture, the colours used in the Indlovukazi have the following meaning: blue (faithfulness), white (spiritual love and purity), red (love and passion), yellow (wealth)
and green (contentment).
